2015 Challenger SRT Hellcat

The Hellcat has a Viper-inspired hood.

Dodge CEO Timothy Kuniskis unveiled the car to the first members of the press at the 2014 Midwest Automotive Media Association Spring Rally at Road America. The hood was inspired by the Viper. The scoop sends cold air into the engine compartment, while the vents on the sides let hot air escape freely. According to Mr. Kuniskis, the 2015 Challenger design is based on the 1971 Challenger. The previous one was inspired by the 1970 Challenger.
